Massive game at The Riverside today

Last updated : 07 April 2012 By Michael Morris

If Cardiff lose then we will be 5 points off 6th place with just five games to go. Things would look bleak then.

A draw will see Middlesbrough go 6th with Cardiff staying 2 points behind. The gap to Blackpool in 5th would be four points. That would still give City hope.

A Cardiff win would take the Bluebirds 6th, two points behind 5th placed Blackpool and a point ahead of Brighton and Middlesbrough. Our destiny would then be in our own hands.

Yesterday Brighton were beaten at Burnley and Blackpool won at Watford. The other two Championship games saw Reading and West Ham beat Leeds and Barnsley respectively.

If we are to make the play offs we need to start to win some games. Draws will not be enough.
