Mr Stroud has twice before taken charge of City games, a 1 - 0 Ninian Park win over Leicester and a 1 - 0 defeat at Upton Park against West Ham.
Mr Stroud was the referee in charge when Southend Utd won the League 1 title at Roots Hall at the end of last season.
So far this season he's issued 18 yellow cards in 7 games.
He has also sent off a player. Cameron Jerome on his Birmingham City debut back in August.
