David Webb has been a consistent EFL referee for the last 10 years or so. He has taken charge of only four Cardiff City games in all that time.
Back in 2011 he was the referee as City lost 2 - 1 at Peterborough in a Carling Cup game at London Rd. City led from Jay Bothroyd (31) before Craig Mackail-Smith (74) and George Boyd (88) turned the game around.
Since then City's fortunes changed in matches referee'd by Webb. We saw a 2 - 0 Bluebirds win at Accrington in the Capital One Cup in 2013 before successive 3 - 2 Cardiff victories at Port Vale (2014) in the Capital One Cup and at Huddersfield in the Championship in January 2016.
