Premier League referee Mike Dean will be in charge of the FA Cup game between Middlesbrough and Cardiff City on Sunday afternoon.
Mr Dean was in the headlines a couple of weeks ago when he sent off Matthew Taylor of Birmingham City for a rash tackle that left Arsenal's Eduardo with a broken leg. That match finished 2 - 2.
Mike Dean has taken charge of one previous City game this season. The 2 - 2 draw away Hull City. He has officiated three Middlesbrough games, two were against Newcastle, both ended in draws (there's a pattern emerging here). The other was a match at the Riverside against Spurs. That ended 1 - 1.
So far this season in 31 games Dean has issued 105 yellow cards and 7 red.
