Maxwell was told in the summer he was not part of Lennie's plans but he wanted to try and stake a claim. His chances have been extremely limited this season and talks opened several weeks ago to com to a mutual deal to end the association.
"It's all agreed, Lennie told the Echo, "but it hasn't been signed and sealed. That will be done by tomorrow."
Maxwell has been attracting interest from Swansea City and best of luck to him wherever he ends up.
