Ross McCormack (hamstring) and Peter Whittingham (ankle) have both resumed training and are building up their fitness. Neither player is ready yet for selection but for Whittingham it's a boost after fears of being out for three months.

It doesn't mean they're ready to play, it means they are back in training and running and everything else," said boss Dave Jones.

"It's probably seven to 10 days after that (before they are ready to play).

"In Ross's case, we need to look at why the hamstring keeps going, if there's a weakness there and if we need to work at that to make it stronger."
