McNaughton hoping for swift recovery

The Scot was making his first start of the season after ankle ligament trouble but lasted just 21 mins of the defeat at Barnsley.

Fair play to Kevin, he pulled up while defending a Barnsly attack but stayed on his feet until the danger was over.

He was expected to have a scan today to determine the damage.

"I felt my hamstring a little bit. It seized up a little so hopefully I've not pulled it and I will just have to see how it is," he told the South Wales Echo.

"It was a nightmare for me really. I don't think it will keep it me out long-term but it's just another one of those frustrating little niggles. I've worked so hard to get fit and then you get something like this happen and it's just so frustrating for you.

"I'll probably get a scan on it just to make sure it is nothing major and then take things from there. Hopefully I'll just need to rest it for a few days, but it is another one of those things. This is my worst season ever. It's just been a total nightmare to be honest with you."

Adam Matthews is expected to be fit for the visit of Ipswich this weekend.
