McNaughton ready for Reading

Over 3,000 travelling fans should see the same side line up that beat Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Kevin McNaughton has responded to treatment on the ankle injury that saw him subbed on Saturday and expects to be fit to line up against the Royals.

Unless there is a new deal we only have Michael Chopra available for two more games. The trip to Reading and the home game against Plymouth on Sunday. Hopefully though Ross McCormack will be ready to play when City next see action on January 3rd in the FA Cup against Reading at Ninian Park.

Dave Jones has been explaining about Ross' injury.

"We have to look at ourselves and make sure we do the right things (with Ross) to ensure it doesn't happen again,"

"It's more preventative work with Ross right now. When he came back after the first strain he looked good, sharp and bright.

"But all of a sudden he had damaged a hamstring in another part of his leg.

"There must be a reason why and we have to ensure he warms up thoroughly.

"He is an explosive player and we have to make sure it's right.

"The two games in which he has suffered a pulled hamstring have been on really cold days. You've got to ask has he warmed up properly?"
