I am interested in Miguel Comminges," Jones told the Echo
"I spoke to Swindon Town's assistant manager (Dave Byrne) and we agree there is no way we can sign anybody who is contracted to another club.
"We have been monitoring the progress of Comminges, but no more.
"Nothing else has happened. That's all there is to say."
Frenchman Comminges has just won the fans Player of the Year awards at the County Ground but has not agreed to a new contract.
