Mike Dean, the man who took charge of the 2008 FA Cup final between Cardiff and Portsmouth, is the referee at Wembley this weekend when Cardiff go back to North London but this time for a Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Dean, aged 50, has been on the Premier League list since 2000, records show he was a referee for a Cardiff game at Rochdale back in 2000 where the game ended 1 - 1 with Cardiff fielding players like Kevin Nugent, Danny Hill, Mark Bonner and Andy Legg.

From six games so far this season Dean has issued 23 yellow and 2 red cards.

The only game Dean officiated the last time we were in the Premier League was the 1 - 0 home win over Swansea. That day he sent off the jacks keeper Michel Vorm, the Dutchman might well be in the Spurs squad on Saturday.
