He could also recall goalkeeper Cody Cropper and defenders Lee Hodson and Matthew Upson to the starting line-up.

Cardiff striker Kenwyne Jones is doubtful because of an ankle injury, but Bruno Manga and Federico Macheda look set to be involved.

Midfielder Scott Malone could return from a virus.
