Moaning Maxwell hits out at Lennie

Last updated : 20 January 2004 By Michael Morris

"The way it went for me at Cardiff was frustrating because maybe there were a couple of players who were on the team-sheet through reputation alone and not through form. I don't think that's right. Everyone should get a fair chance." Maxwell told the Western Mail.

Maxwell explans how he turned down a move to Notts County as he felt he had a future at Ninian Park but after only one start in the Carling Cup this season Maxwell looked to terminate his contract

"I felt there was no future for me at Cardiff and I asked the manager if something could be sorted out. Within four weeks everything was finalised and I had left."

Maxwell's comments look like sour grapes. I think he'd have been better concentrating on his fitness and doing his best to move on.
