The Club, said not to be Everton, have made initial enquiries into the purchase price of the Welsh international defender.
Gabbidon has been linked to Everton in the last few days, Wigan have been mentioned as well. Mark Hughes at Blackburn is an obvious choice of admirer as it was Hughes that brought Gaddidon into the international areana when he gave him his debut against the Czech republic in 2002.
Gabbidon has also seen his named linked with Fulham and Charlton.
As previously reported the player has set his sights on a Premiership move and if the money's right (a figure of around £2m is thought to be the region) then City will let him go.
