Morris pulls out of City deal

Jody Morris last night pulled out of the deal to sign for Cardiff City. Lennie Lawrence told the official website

"It has come as a complete shock, totally out of the blue."

It was thought that Morris would complete his signing today but now the deal is off.

The club speculate he is now talking to Portsmouth. He has also been linked to Leicester City who say they are hoping to sign an un-named Premiership utility player in the next 24 hours.

Yesterday everyone seemed confident that the move would go ahead, maybe the coverage of his move to Cardiff forced a Premiership club to come in at the last minute with an offer of football at the highest level.

Morris would have been a major signing for the Bluebirds, only he knows exactly what forced him to change his mind.

The player has probably been given a better offer from a Premiership club. In today's football arena it is common for such things to happen, the bigger we get the more we will see things like this going on.

We never had him so we can't miss him.

Who's next Lennie?
