New shirt sponsors

The deal is reported to be worth around £250,000 with Vans Direct becoming the clubs shirt sponsor for 2008 / 2009 on both home and away kits. They will be replacing Comms Direct. Vans Direct also have the option to extend the deal when the club moves into the new stadium in 12 months time.

"We are absolutely delighted to have secured our new shirt sponsorship deal with Vansdirect," said Peter Ridsdale.

"They have been corporate sponsors for the last two years including generously supplying a vehicle to football in the community and this new deal is a major step up in their level of commitment to this football club."
