New sponsorship, new players?

It's been claimed that City are finalising three new sponsorship deals. Firstly £500,000 worth of backing will come from Redrow Homes and brewers John Smiths. Redrow are said to be the new sponsors of the Family Canton Stand. It is set to become the Redrow Stand. The currently named Carling Grange End is set to be named after brewers John Smiths.

A third deal for shirt sponshorship could earn City another £500,000 if the Bluebirds are promoted this season. Ken Thorne will not be the shirt sponsor this season, a new deal will be announced before the start of the season.

The same articles in the press also claim that City targets Gareth Whalley and earlier linked players Marlon Broomes from Sheff Wed's and Barnsley's Kevin Donovan could arrive at Ninian Park this coming week.
