The council planning committe will meet to decide Cardiff City's application for a new stadium on Aug 20th. It was due to be on Aug 13th but now a special meeting has been called for the 20th to give officers time to complete their reports.

If the council say yes then providing the Welsh Assembly are happy then work can start on a new 30,000 seater stadium, a new athletic stadium and the retail and leisure facilities.

It would also allow more money to be made available for strengthening the team.
