There has been very limited speculation over the past few days with the only outside news source making any claims being the Sheffield Star who suggest that Sheffield Utd could be interested in City's striking trio of Peter Thorne, Cameron Jerome and Alan Lee.

Bobby Gould today has told Dave Jones to stand up to Sam Hammam and make sure Jones does things his way.

The new season starts on Saturday August 6th with the Carling Cup 1st round on August 23rd / 24th. The new fixtures are announced next week on Thursday 23rd June.

Self confessed City fan and Wales rugby international Gareth Thomas did the Ayatollah this morning as he scored a try for the Lions in their victory over Wellington in New Zealand.
