No go for O'Brien but Vaughan still ongoing

The defender is on loan at Elland Rd and should line up against the Bluebirds tomorrow evening for his last loan game from Bolton.

He has already agreed a permanent deal and should be come a Leeds player this week.

Leeds Chairman Ken Bates said: "I met with Andy on Friday and despite a tempting offer from Cardiff, he has agreed to join us on a two-and-half-year deal which we are delighted about."

Cardiff are still hopeful to complete the signing of James Vaughan from Everton. It's reported that personal terms have already been agreed and it's just payment terms between Cardiff and Everton that need sorting.
