No new signings imminent

Lennie Lawrence has ruled out any new signings in the coming week. City face a 2 week lay off after playing Bradford tomorrow because of a blank weekend on Jan 24th due to the FA Cup 4th round.

Lennie is still considering Andy Monkhouse from Rotherham on loan but he hopes to have John Robinson back.

"We're hoping Robbo will be back Monday week. But if he doesn't come back soon, we've then got a problem out wide. "That's why the Monkhouse deal is still a possibility.

"I'm not ruling anything out, but there'll be nothing this week and I'm not going to bring anyone in next week because we're not playing for two weeks.

"I'm only prepared to make a loan deal. If Rotherham want to do it, then we'll look at it."

Robinson himswelf has said he hopes to resume training on Jan 26th despite his doctor wanting him to take 3 months off.

There's no mention at all of the rumoured midfielder the press reported on last week.
