Youngs inclusion for the injured and suspended Spencer Prior could be the only change to the side that started against Coventry last week after Andy Legg looks to have won his race to be fit for tomorrows game.

The match is subject to an 8.30am pitch inspection. Many fans will have left already so it will be a case of staying in touch with the radio. Referee Ray Olivier will be live on Radio Wales between 8.30 and 9am (882mw) to give the results of his pitch inspection.

Radio Wales will also be covering the match live from kick off at midday.

City then should line up

Alexander, Weston, Young, Barker, Croft, Bowen, Boland, Kavanagh, Legg, Earnshaw, Thorne. Subs Margetson, Collins, Maxwel,, Leo FW, Campbell.

Cobblers new boss Terry Fenwick is without Wales international Paul Trollope through injury as well as Lee Harper, Gerard Lavin, Duncan Spedding, John Frain and Paul Rickers. Daryl Burgess is suspended.

Last season City won 2 - 1 at Sixfields (match report). Andy Campbell scoring the winner.

Northampton lost at home last Saturday 0 - 5 to Wycombe. That defat was enough to earn the sack for Kevan Broadhurst. The Cobblers are struggling with four home defeats in a row but becuase the division is so tight they are only 11 points off a play off place.

Kick off is at midday and there will be live radio commentary as mentioned above, live internet commentary from the official site, live coverage in the chat room and then the message board will have all the post match reaction.

City's promotion rivals Wigan and Bristol City plat at Ashton Gate tonight. Oldham v Brentford has been postponed. Crewe are away at Colchester. 6th placed Luton's game has also been postponed. Three points for Cardiff are so vital.
