Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enjoyed a tremendous welcome back at Old Trafford last night but he could not turn his old magic into points for Cardiff.

The Bluebirds suffered a not unexpected defeat against Manchester United and Ole, while pleased with the effort, is looking for more in the final third.

United boss David Moyes was happy to take three points but feels his side still have a way to go.

"My mood has improved because I know I have some really good players coming back, but I still want to be more convincing," the United manager said.

"I want to win better and play much better. Don't think because we have won tonight that that means I have a smile and I am happy.

"I am happy for the three points but I have a long way to go in terms of the vision I have of how I want my team to play."
