Papers linking Earnie with West Brom

The rumour mill in the papers this week is grinding out stories that link Robert Earnshaw to West Brom.

With City making no secret that they are interested in Baggie's midfielder Sean Gregan the links have been drawn to a possible swap move inc £2m and Gregan.

With no confirmation from either party it appears to be just press speculation. Remember we've already been told he's going to Everton and Charlton.

In the Echo today there is a direct quote from Sam who says

"Rob Earnshaw is on his way to the Premiership - with Cardiff City."

Earnie is being urged to stay with Cardiff by Welsh team mate Simon Davies who told the Echo

"If Earnie wants to prove himself he has to play in the Premiership. But Cardiff City are just as ambitious and it could be worth waiting another year and hopefully go up with his club. I'd love to see him make it with the Bluebirds.

Earnshaw has retained his No. 10 squad number for the coming season. Interestingly No. 4 has been left open. Gregan perhaps?
