Both Neil Alexander and Paul Parry are out of contract this summer.

Now talks have began reagrding their City futures.

'I am excited about the future at Cardiff City - and desperately keen to stay," Alexander told the Echo.

'This has probably been my best season for the club and, at 28, I am still young for a goalkeeper and still improving.

'My agent has started talks with Cardiff City about a new contract and I really want them to work something out.'

Another player who is having contract talks is Darren Purse. The City skipper has been linked to a couple of Premiership clubs this week but has said

'I'm really settled at Cardiff City and I'm trying to sort out a couple of extra years on my contract. What would be sweeter than to captain this club and take them into the Premiership.'

Purse's current deal runs out in 18 months time.
