Parry set to continue upfront as Thorne misses West Ham

Parry came off injured late on against Leicester but should be fit enough to start against the Hammers at Ninian Park tomorrow night.

Lennie Lawrence has been waiting for the oportunity to play Parry upfront.

"I've been itching to do it for some considerable time," Lawrence told the Western Mail.

"It gives us something completely different as Paul can run behind defences and get a goal. He's got that ability to come off, play a little bit deeper and get on the ball. It throws a different complexion on it because if turns on the ball he is useful.

"I saw in the friendly games for Wales last summer that Giggs played off the front. I liked it and thought I'd look to do the same with Parry. With Thorney injured it was a good time to try it and I was well pleased with his contribution."
