Parry speaks about Lennie's departure

Paul Parry returned from the Wales training camp in Spain to learn about Lennie's "sacking" from the Cardiff City managers job.

"It's come as a shock to all of the players as we all respect Lennie and look up to him. When he took over, Cardiff were in the Third Division and he has taken us up to the Championship, a great achievement.

"So to leave after one season of struggle is maybe a little bit harsh, but it's between him and Sam."

Parry, 24, is one of City's promising youngsters. He was in the non league only 18 months ago and thanks to Lennie's signing of him he's now a City favourite and a Welsh international.

"As for my future, I've got two years on my contract and I'm very happy to stay. Cardiff were the team I watched as a boy, we're close to my home town, and I'm in no rush to move.

"If I'm told to move it becomes a different matter, but at the moment I'm happy to remain a Cardiff player."
