"They (Cardiff) are a quality side but there are nothing but positives for us," Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby.
"We started slowly but came into the game and went from strength to strength. We were superb at times."
Peschisolido added: "When you can take a side like Cardiff into extra-time there are no negatives.
"I am proud of the boys. We matched them every step of the way.
