Play offs the target after Birmingham win?

Firstly not beating Swansea made it difficult and then with Birmingham beating Wolves last night it's become near impossible.

Cardiff are 11 points behind 2nd place, with two games in hand though, but our form at the moment is not winning form.

Over the last 7 games we have picked up 11 points. If we manage that for our remaining 7 games it would only put us level with Birmingham giving them 5 games to get a point needed to overtake us.

We are not in the sort of form needed to win all of our games.

So we must ensure a play off place. Victory at home to Derby tomorrow would give City a 5 point breathing space over 7th place and still have a game in hand. With City having to face Burnley (h) and Preston (a) next week, as well as Derby (h) and Palace (a) this week, we need to get these points on the board as soon as possible.

If we did get 11 points from our remaining 7 games, providing we do not lose to Preston then a play off place would be guaranteed. I think we'll need less than that though.

Quite simply win our games and we'll fly into the play offs, lose a couple in the next few days and we'll put ourselves under unneccessary pressure.
