A couple of hundred City fans watched as Constantinos Charalambides and Matt Green scored in each half to help City to a win in Lisbon.

The home sides goal came courtesy of a Kevin McNaughton o.g.

"Both teams had a go and we have come through without injuries," said City boss Dave Jones. "Saturday, against Vitoria Setubal, will be tougher, but most of our players got 90 minutes and that's great."

Charalambides impressed again after a decent showing at Carmarthen last weekend. City also had a goal ruled out for offside.

Michael Chopra was watching the game being being due to head to Sunderland. He talked to the City fans at the game and thanked them for the support he received while at Cardiff City.

City's next game is on Saturday morning, ko 10am in the same venue.
