A lot of people were talking about how we were unable to hold onto a lead and letting other teams back into games. But Lennie tried to keep our confidence up during the week. And, as a result, we were not too panicky about what had happened.

"Invariably, after my first goal, one or two of us were wondering, 'Will we hold onto this lead for a change?' But then you realise you have to rise above that sort of thing, be positive - and carry on doing the things which got you the lead in the first place.

"We were positive, got a second and then my third and in the end it was a comprehensive victory. Hey, I even poached a goal off Earnie!" (Western Mail).
