Post match reaction from Carrow Rd

But there was talk of the game and it's outcome.

Malky Mackay was pleased to earn another point on the road, his side now have more points away from home than at Cardiff City Stadium

"I thought we defended as a team really well, our shape was excellent," he said.

"There were a couple of scuffles around the goalmouth but most of what was coming in was long-range shots.

"I thought, in the second half especially, our two centre-backs headed everything away and defended very stoutly.

"It’s a clean sheet, it's our fifth point away from home and I'm delighted about that.

"I spoke to a couple of Premier League managers in pre-season who talked about the importance of picking up points away from home and how important that actually is.

"I know Carrow Road really well and I know the atmosphere the fans can generate here and get behind their team and really put a team on the back foot.

"So to get a point today and the way we defended, I was delighted with that."

Chris Hughton, and the Norwich fans, were left frustrated after his side racked up over 30 efforts on goal. But the final scoreline showed they failed with all of them. There was moans of discontent from the supporters.

"They are a fanatical and emotional support and any frustrations they have is because they want to see us win a game," Hughton said.

"They are the exact same reactions I would have.

"I have no problem with their reaction; it shows that they care. It's their football club.

"Credit to Cardiff. They came here and defended very well. On the balance of chances we had, we should have won.

"We haven't scored, although it's not down to the lack of endeavour or the way we played. It's frustrating because it's one that should have been three points. Their keeper has had a very good day.

"As the game went on you thought the goal was going to come. Perhaps in the end you thought one of those goals would be an own goal or come via a deflection."
