Post match press conference:

Steve Evans said: "We did more than work hard. We played some super football, our passing and moving was exceptional.

"This is a big football club with great traditions who have just dropped down from the Premier League but I think we out-worked them and out-passed them and out-moved them today.

"We go away on the coach disappointed that we haven't come away with a victory because the performance and the chances we created deserved that."

Cardiff boss Russell Slade saw his perfect home record ended by Evans, who also beat the former Leyton Orient manager in the League One play-off final last year.

He said: "The whole changing room is very disappointed because we got a terrific result last week, trained really well but were below par today.

"We created very little, didn't get the ball wide quick enough.

"We deviated from our game plan and what we're good at and it hasn't got us the result that we wanted.

"If you look at the bigger picture, it's our third clean sheet in four, however, are we the finished article? Of course we are not."
