Prior misses opening games

Spencer Prior will miss City's opening games for the second season in a row. Prior was given a straight red card for his choice of words against the referee in the City v Stoke play off game at Ninian Park. That was the Bluebirds last game of the season so the ban starts this coming season. Spencer will miss the trip to Oldham and the home game against Port Vale on Tuesday Aug 13th. He will be back in contention for a place in City's team when Northampton visit Ninian Park on Saturday August 17th.

It's been suggested now that Daniel Gabbidon will start in central defence alongside the recovering Scott Young.

Lennie we are led to believe is looking for a left sided defender so the left back position is still up for grabs with Michael Simpkins, Andy Legg and any new signing challenging for the spot. Rhys Weston is sure to start at right back.City can select between Jason Bowen, Graham Kavanagh, Mark Bonner, Willie Boland, Gareth Whalley, Des Hamilton Layton Maxwell and Josh Low in midfield. Upfront we have Robert Earnshaw, Peter Thorne, Andy Campbell and Leo FW. (Apologies for any I missed out).

Neil Alexander will be in goal with either Mark Walton, Lee Kendal or if signed a new keeper as second choice.
