Dave Jones has completed the signings of Darren Purse, Kevin Cooper and Phil Mulryne.

Darren Purse has chosen City over Southampton which is huge boost for the Bluebirds to take a player of Purse's ability ahead of a club that has a new stadium and has spent the last 25 years in the top flight.

Purse will become the new captain at Ninian Park and is expected to make his debut along with midfielder Kevin Cooper. The former Wolves player also completed his move yesterday with both signing three year contracts.

Phil Mulryne, who was on trial for the last couple of weeks has also signed a permanent contract.

We offer a warm welcome to each player and also to Dave Jones' other signings.

So far this summer Dave Jone has brought it

Jeff Whitley, Glenn Loovens, Neil Cox, Jermaine Darlington, Andrea Ferretti, Jason Koumas, Darren Purse, Kevin Cooper and Phil Mulryne.

The dark times of a few weeks ago when players were being sold have now passed and we will see a new look Cardiff take to the field this coming season.

The transfers out of the higher wage earners and renegotiated contracts on some of the other players have allowed Dave Jones a budget and he's brought in experienced players at the level several of which have been promoted recently from this division. Purse and Mulryne both played in the Premiership last season while Jeff Whitley played over 35 games for Championship champions Sunderland.
