Purse set to sign new deal

There had been talk that Purse could be leaving with clubs like Wigan being linked. But this week Peter Ridsdale has spoken about Darren's future.

"Everything is verbally agreed and the formal contract is being written up and will be ready early this week," said the chairman.

"Darren is staying with Cardiff City.

"Wigan Athletic have not been in touch about Darren Purse."
