Rae called into Scotland squad

Rae won his last cap earlier this year and has been drafted in after injury to Callum Davidson.

Just last week, after learning he was not included when George Burley originally named his squad, Rae said

"The manager spoke to me before the current squad was announced and explained I wouldn't be included. Hopefully, I am still in his thoughts for future squads and the key is to play well for Cardiff. It was great that George Burley took time to give me a call."

Now Rae gets his chance after injuries to other players.

Keeper Craig Gordon is expected to recover from a knock sustained on the weekend. If he did fail to make it then City's Davif Marshall could deputise.

Former City player Glenn Loovens, ironically now playing in Scotland with Celtic, won his first dutch cap last Saturday and could feature against the Scots.
