have suggeted that Reading have submitted a bid for Nicky Maynard.
The former Bristol City and West Ham striker is not a regular in Russell Slade's matchday squads and with Alex Revell signing last week then chances for Maynard will diminish even more.
Maynard suffered a serious injury soon after signing for City and returned for the final game of the 12/13 season to score v Hull (below). Last season he was loaned out to Wigan.
He has only ever started 6 league games for the Bluebirds.
He hasn't featured in a game since November and wasn't included in the FA Cup v Colchester.
If he is not part of Slade's plans then the sooner he moves on the better for all parties.
