Record victory as Cardiff flaunt their six appeal

Cardiff have not won at Ashton Gate since 1969 but that counted for nothing as Cardiff reduced the home side to a car wreck of a side that were humbled on their own doorstep.

Cardiff's biggest ever victory over The Robins was 5 - 1 and likewise Bristol City's best victory over Cardiff was the same. This result has re-written the record books.

Peter Whittingham scored again, his 18th of the season, Chopra (2), McCormack (2) and another o.g. That's the third o.g. Bristol City have scored for us this season.

The teams have met three times in the past three Tuesday's. It started with a 1 - 1 draw a fortnight ago in the FA Cup. The replay last week was a 1 - 0 win for Cardiff and a 6 - 0 Bluebirds win tonight.

The league game in Cardiff in August ended 3 - 0 to Cardiff. Quite simply Cardiff are the Severnside Champions.

The result tonight sees City jump above Swansea who only managed a draw at home to Coventry. West Brom only drew at Ipswich. City are 4th and on fire.

Bristol City fans were giving their side stick and leaving the ground long before the end and there was an abundance of missiles being thrown from the home stands.

Well done Cardiff City. Now just sort out the mess off the field and let us enjoy these days. They are amazing times.
