Remember Phil Stant?

The 40 year old striker who scored 40 goals in 87 starts for City in the early 90's is currently player manager of Gainsborough, his 18th club. He has played for Lincoln and Mansfield twice meaning 20 club changes.

Stant was forced to name himself as the goalkeeper for his teams trip to Stalybridge Celtic in last nights Unibond League Premier Division clash at Bower Fold after the usual keeper failed to turn up.

Stant may have been a god when scoring the goals but he was not as effective at the other end as his team went down 3 - 0.
