Ron Stitfall: RIP

Stitfall played his entire career for the Bluebirds, his hometown club, making 402 appearances and scoring eight goals between 1947 and 1964.

He played almost of his games at full back winning two Welsh caps and later became the national team's kit man.

The Football Association of Wales described Stitfall as "one of the great unsung heroes of Welsh football."

In a statement the FAW said: "He had been ill for some time and our thoughts are with his wife Grace and family.
