Ross pushing for Palace comeback

Purse's appeal pending they will both miss Saturday's game at Ninian Park against Crystal Palace.

There maybe some help though in the possible return from injury of Mark Kennedy and surprisingly Ross McCormack.

Kennedy is close to being ready and could get his full back place back at Comminges' expense.

Gabor Gyepes will stand in for Purse if his appeal fails but it's the thought of Ross McCormack being fit enough to play that will excite the City support.

McCormack was ruled out for 3 / 4 weeks with a hamstring injury picked up 10 days ago in the home defeat by Wolves. Now there is an outside chance he could play this weekend just 2 weeks after the injury. The player says he's 90 - 95% fit but his manager is being a little more cautious.

"The next few days are crucial and we will see how Ross reacts," said Dave Jones.

"We can't risk him coming back too early."

Cardiff entertain Palace at Ninian Park this Saturday, ko 3pm.
