Rotation? Preston preview

Last updated : 23 April 2004 By Michael Morris
Lennie Lawrence is forced into one change tomorrow at Preston. Tony Vidmar serves a one match ban and his place in the back 4 is likely to be taken by Chris Barker.

Gary Croft is likely to keep his place at right back with Rhys Weston returning to the bench. Croft though has missed a couple of days training with flu this week and it's not impossible that Rhys may start the game. Lennie is keen to see Rhys back in action.

Lennie only has three games to go until the seasons end. In that time he must make a decision on Lee Bullock. To do that Bullock must be on the pitch so a start for the York City loanee could happen.

Is there a claim for Andy Campbell to get a start as well? With talk that Neil Alexander is unhappy at Cardiff after losing his place and a possible move to Hearts in the offing it would no surprise to see youngster Aaran Lee Barrett again on the bench.

City possible
Margetson, Croft, Collins, Gabbidon, Barker, Robinson, Bullock, Boland, Langley, Earnshaw, Lee.

Subs Alexander, Weston, Campbell, Parry, Gordon.

City go to Preston with a 5 point and 3 place advantage over Craig Browns side. The Lilywhites will be desperate to put right a 4 - 1 drubbing at Derby County last week.

Preston have a mounting injury list to contend with as Eddie Lewis (hernia), Claude Davis (thigh) and Lee Briscoe (back) are all doubts.

Rob Edwards (hamstring) and Andrew Lonergan (broken hand) are definitely ruled out.
