Alan Lee is set to become a Bluebird. The 24 year old striker handed in a transfer request after Rotherham's Carling Cup game last night and it has been accepted by the Millmoor board.

A statement of the official Rotherham website reads

The ongoing transfer saga surrounding Alan Lee has come to an end with the news that a deal has been agreed today for him to move to Cardiff City.

The striker who is 25 years-old next Thursday slapped in a transfer request after Tuesday night's Carling Cup game against York City and that request was duly considered by the board before it was reluctantly granted.

The initial fee is £850,000 but it could increase to £1.2m depending on Lee's appearances and goals and if Cardiff win promotion to the Premiership.

Fantastic news.
