Rotherham fail to land loan targets

An injury to Nicky Forster has prevented Ronnie Mooore from signing Shaun Goater and Lloyd Owusu from Reading on loan. Former City player Morre brings his Rotherham side to Ninian Park on Saturday with a lack of firepower. He has been trying to bring in new faces ahead of Saturdays basement battle at Ninian Park.

"We are just having no luck trying to get a striker in," said Moore. "We were talking to Reading about getting Shaun Goater, then they lost their first-choice striker, Forster, through injury and Shaun will be playing for them now. We also wanted Lloyd Owusu but they need him on their bench now."

Rotherham have also failed to attract Richie Partridge from Liverpool. To add insult to injury Partridge's agent dismissed a move to Rotherham saying

"Perhaps a team like West Ham might be better for Richie - simply because of Rotherham's current plight."

Rotherham are the only team below Cardiff at the moment. A Bluebirds victory would see a 7 point gap emerge between the two teams.
