Saturday results offer hope to City and Sunderland

Hull City's late equaliser at Fulham and Manchester United’s thumping 4 – 0 home win over Norwich have given both Cardiff and Sunderland the chance to climb out of the bottom three today.

Norwich have now lost their last five games and face Chelsea away and Arsenal at Carrow Rd in their last two fixtures. Fulham looked to have secured a home win over Hull City but conceded twice to surrender a two goal lead.

West Brom’s win over West Ham brings the Hammers back into the relegation picture. Both teams should be OK but it's now four straight defeats for West Ham.

Aston Villa have now picked up just one point in 18 and with two of their three remaining games away at Man City and Spurs they will be desperate to get a win at home to Hull next weekend.

So Cardiff or Sunderland today get the chance to move out of the bottom three and to give themselves real hope of staying up.

It's looking like three from four will go down but Villa look precarious and need one more win.
