Saturdays Divison 2 preview

Leaders Wigan face a tricky trip to Brentford. A win for the Latics would open a 4 point gap over City. Brentford though are aiming to be a part of the promotion scene. The Bees are in 7th place, 9 points behind Wigan, they will be looking to close the gap and a win for Brentford would be welcomed by Cardiff City.

Second place Oldham, currently ahead of City on goal difference, have what would appear to be an easy home win over struggling Cheltenham Town. Mind you they thought they would ease into round 2 of the FA Cup last week and only managed a draw thanks to a last minute equaliser aginst Burton Allbion at Boundary Park.

City in third place can go back to the top of the table tomorrow if Wigan and Oldham both fail to win today.

4th placed Bristol City could overtake City today if the get a win at bottom of the table Mansfield. Hopefully the Stags will raise their game like they did against Cardiff and thwart our West Country cousins.

Crewe back in 5th place are 6 points behind City. They entertain Blackpool at Gresty Rd.

Next weeks opponents QPR, currently 8 points behind the Bluebirds, are away at Luton.

The top teams face some tough games today. Come on Brentford, Cheltenham and Mansfield.
