Scimeca is injury doubt

The in-form midfielder turned his ankle in training and Dave Jones will wait and see if he will be able to play.

The boss has cover though if Riccy does not make it.

"Riccy picked up an ankle injury in training. It was a nothing challenge, he just went over on it. We'll have to wait until we train ahead of the game to see," said Jones.

"Cover-wise, Willo Flood is champing at the bit. Joe Ledley could move in there, there's Malvin Kamara or we could bring in young Darcy Blake. So we're covered."

Scimeca has scored in each of City's last two games.

Kevin McNaughton's place in the squad has been taken by new loan signing James Chambers. He could go straight into the starting line up.

"James will cover for us for a month. He's trained with us," said Dave Jones.

"He played around 60 games for Watford in their promotion season in different positions, left-back, right-back. He's predominately right-footed, but played mostly for Watford at left-back. We think he'll give the same contribution as Kevin gives us.

"You never know, the boy could come here and do an absolutely fantastic job. Then you try and do something with it.

"But for now Aidy Boothroyd just wants him to play first-team football, and I'm grateful he's allowed us to take him."
