The League have signed up for 4 years with Sky in a deal believed to be worth £95 million, with £20 million of that paid in the first year.

The initial deal is for up to 60 live games a season in the Nationwide League, Worthington Cup and LDV trophy. The Football League could also agree a deal for highlights programmes which would pay extra.

Sky intend to show live games on Friday nights, Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The deal is estimated to be worth between £600-700k for First Division clubs with less money for second and third division teams. These amounts could increase if the highlights package is also sold.
