Snowdon charity walk in pictures

This year's event was in aid of the Ty Hafan Children's Hospice in Sully, which provides help and support for more than three hundred families living in Wales who have children with life-threatening illnesses.

The fans were joined for the weekend by club owner Sam Hammam, who made the long journey north with his wife, his daughter and her boyfriend.

Having spent an enjoyable Friday evening at the picturesque Ogwen Bank Caravan Park & Country Club near Bethesda, the group set off for Snowdon in glorious weather on Saturday morning. Seventeen supporters took part in a sponsored walk from Pen Y Pass to the summit of the highest mountain in Wales, and then back down to Llanberis. All of the fans managed to safely complete the course, and by doing so they raised several thousand pounds for the Ty Hafan appeal. The total amount will be known in a couple of weeks when all of the sponsorship money has been collected.

If you haven't yet contributed to the CCFC supporters' appeal but would like to do so, you can either make an on-line donation at http://www.justgiving.com/cardiffcity or you can call into the RAMS office at Ninian Park before one of the forthcoming home matches and make a cash donation.

If you're wondering about the Jack in the picture with Sam, he happened to wander into the pub in Rhayader where we were having our Sunday lunch. The poor lad must've though he'd died and gone to hell!
