So it goes to the final day

Cardiff go to Crystal Palace on Saturday (12:30pm) needing a point to ensure a place in the play offs. They will also qualify if Middlesbrough fail to beat Watford at Vicarage Rd. Failure to beat Leeds yesterday means that Cardiff still have work to do next weekend.

There is a disaster scenario that City lose and Middlesbrough win, then it will be Middlesbrough who make the play offs.

The relegation places have been sorted in the Championship with Portsmouth and Coventry going down with Doncaster.

The unfinished business is at the top of the table.

Southampton's defeat at The Riverside means West Ham can still catch them. The Hammers face Leicester on Monday night needing a win to take the promotion battle to the final day. Anything less and Southampton are promoted.

That just leaves 6th place to reslove between Cardiff and Middlesbrough and the final places in the play off zone to determine who plays who.
